Our Sweet Nephew Palmer!

Our new little nephew Palmer was born 4 weeks early and weighed in at 6 lbs. 12 oz. He was born with Spina Bifida and has had 2 major surgeries in the first 11 days of life & is such a little rockstar! Oliver made the rounds with his aunties/uncles/grandparents and cousins and loved every minute of it. We had Oliver for about 5 days here in Fargo and were lucky to bring him to the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis for a couple days to meet his new baby brother and see mommy and daddy who missed him so much. What an incredible facility and wonderful doctors and nurses! He definitely was in good hands. Baby Palmer is back home now in Minot & feeling all the love & prayers from everyone!
Here he is!!!....Perfect!

Oliver meeting his new baby brother for the first time. He was allowed to see him for 15 min. that day.

The first pic of the new family of four!!....beautiful!

Sweet baby Palmer waiting contently for surgery.

While Oliver was with us we were invited to a friend's winter party at his farm that was full of fun all day & night. This was the easiest way to transport them around the farm!

Striking a pose in front of the treehouse that daddy/uncle Chris designed! Amelia even went to the bathroom in the cool outhouse that night! They both walked inside, took their boots off and had hot chocolate with whip cream.....life is good!

Just finished a smore!

In their own little world!

Amelia loved riding around on this until about 30 min. in she got nailed in the head with a basketball and the night was over for all of us!

When asking what Oliver's favorite thing he did that night.....this was it!! Keep in mind he took a sleigh ride behind Clydesdales, sledding, skating, sitting outside at a bonfire and eating smores, hanging out in a treehouse, eating, trampoline and basketball!! What a great night!!

Finally a day above zero that we could enjoy being outdoors!

We buried daddy!!

Rubes loves the snow....especially eating it! She'll sit on the floor in the livingroom and eat it out of a cup & thinks it's the coolest thing.

Amelia playing King of the Hill.

Amelia loves to take pictures. Those scratches on her face are from a little boy at daycare....mom was NOT very happy!....she looked like she was attacked by a cat.

WINTER PICS!

Posing with his girls!

Snuggling up with auntie Kas!

Daddy couldn't wait.....we were home from buying us all skiis and they were out within half hour!

Amelia's first set of cross country skiis.....what a natural. She wants to be pushed & pulled around instead of using poles by herself.

Our little Nordic Doll.....exciting to be holding mommy's phone knowing she shouldn't be!

Her obsession with princess & barbies

Look close and you can see Amelia NOT looking at the crowd.....she didn't sing A word.....

Amelia & her friend Marcella after their program.....notice how Amelia is all smiles now that it's over! Don't worry.....Amelia did NOT wear this headband for the program but needed it on afterwards of course!

We've been lucky to spend some quality time with Oliver while mommy & daddy go to Minneapolis for some MD appts. for baby Thompson! He's so fun to have around but definitely wears me out!

Oliver worn out & tired from too many late nights @ the Hawley house!!

You'd think after 3.5 yrs. of taking her blood every couple weeks she would be used to it but tears every time. Ruby coming to the rescue with kisses!!

Ruby making her big sis feel better!

Striking a pose with uncle Shane.....whom she hasn't seen in over 2 yrs. She thought he was hilarious and loved his blond mullet! Ruby just stares at him but by the end of his stay she snuggled in and gave him a hug too!

Opening presents @ Grandma Pam's house.....pretty sure she opened everyone's gifts that night!

Cute in her little holiday outfit and........

30 seconds after she opened her Tink PJ's and Robe (Abby got princess PJ's & robe) they were on & ready to pose!! A couple presents after that they each got slippers to match their PJ's/robe.

Somehow uncle Chad got roped into catching all the kiddos.

Posing with Uncle Chad....loving it!

Abby, Oliver & Amelia posing on the moon waiting patiently for their turn to jump off!

NDSU Homecoming Parade!

Waiting for the NDSU homecoming parade to start! Ruby was flirting with the people next to us!

The Hawley crew!

Ruby loves wearing hats!

In their own little world.

Striking a pose with a piece of her special cheese in her hand. That is currently her favorite thing to eat!

Daddy is so proud. The other day Chris went to pick Amelia up from daycare and she was drawing on the magnadoodle and using a lincoln log as a straight edge!

Daddy not so proud! Look close & you'll see that Amelia wrote on the brand new door for our shed with a BLUE marker!

Hanging out sharing water in our pile of leaves we made!

Busted....picking on her little sister!

Papa Maury will be proud of this one!

She loves helping daddy until he brings out the saw!! Look at her take off!

Zoo!

It was a beautiful weekend (80's) & daddy was busy at a seminar so auntie Kas came with us to the zoo!
Look at those smiles. Amelia misses having Kas around all the time!

Look close and see how terrified Ruby is.

We saw this sign after Kassie lost a finger!!

Notice how my kids get as far away as possible from the animals and Ruby just looks away!

Amelia's favorite part - feeding the ducks! Probably cuz they never get too close!

The Hawley Girls! (wish daddy was here!)

Amelia's other fav. part of the zoo!

Amelia looks much braver than Kassie in this pic.

The adorable Rubes with her favorite toy.....mom's cell phone!

I told Amelia to pose for a pic & this is what I got!

Amelia loves to take pics too now.....not bad!
