OUR RUBY RED TURNS 3!!

Our Ruby turned 3 y.o. on Aug. 19th and we celebrated with just us 4 at the lake.

As usual Ruby was up at the crack of dawn so her & I ran to the local lake cafe and picked up some birthday caramel rolls for everyone. When we walked in, there were about 10 older gentlemen sitting, drinking coffee and eating caramel rolls and they asked what we were doing up so early. I told them is was Ruby's birthday and all of a sudden all of them started singing Happy Birthday to Ruby....so sweet!

This was a frequent position for Rubes this summer on the boat. She did go wakeboarding with daddy & cried the entire time but was very proud after the fact. She went tubing with mommy and we fell off....never got on again :)

Look at GRANDMA PAM!!! She even went slolam skiing!!! The girls were very proud and were a bit shocked I think :)

Amelia rockin it with daddy!! Chris had an exhausting summer....anytime there were kids under age 9 this is what he did!

This ski trainer is a breeze.....

time for real skis next summer. She was turning around and without hands by the end of the summer....getting a little cocky!

Amelia got to bring her little friend Pasha to the lake for a weekend....they loved it. Lots of giggling, arguing with Ruby and jumping off the boat :)

Our cabin was really close to Itasca State Park so we had to make a trip to the headwaters so we could say we walked across the Mississippi :)

We had a great opportunity to rent a cabin near Park Rapids, MN for the entire summer. Every weekend was full with friends, all of our family made the trip at one point and once in a while just us four. Lots of trips to Zorbaz, ice cream shops, skiing, wakeboarding (mommy can even go in and out of the wake) (daddy still doing flips) and the favorite was probably parking the boat in the middle and jumping off while listening to music :) WE HAD A BLAST

A COUPLE FIRSTS AT THE HAWLEY HOUSE!

We had quite a few firsts at the Hawley household this spring! I ran my first half marathon in May, Amelia broke her wrist jumping on furniture and Amelia had her first friend birthday party :)

Amelia had a garden party for her 5th birthday. They jumped on the tramp, did art in her new Art studio, made cookies and everyone went home with a potted strawberry plant! So much fun :)

Here's the clan.....all girls and one lucky little boy!!

Amelia was flipping over a chair and this was the outcome....3 hrs. in the ER and a cast 5 days later. She was pretty proud of this hot pink cast and it was covered in black the very next day.

I did it....my first half marathon. It might not have been pretty but I did it!!

California Trip 2012

We are back.....& lots of catching up to do. In March we took a trip to CA with my family.

Amelia's 1st plane ride....chewing on her gum. She was waiting for the blast off and then was mad because she couldn't tell that we were moving when we were up in the air. She thought it was too slow and wanted to drive!

Ruby's 1st plane ride & she did great except she refused to use the bathrooms because they were small and scary. She was able to hold it until we landed!

We took a little road trip to San Diego and daddy had his first surfing lesson....he got up quite a few times but didn't many more times!!

Amelia's first professional tennis tournament....doesn't she looked so enthused?? She actually did enjoy it but only lasted about 2 hrs and then we took her back to be with cousins while we returned!
