Emery's Baptism

Day trip to Bismarck for Emery's Baptism
My first 'Godchild' Emery.

Ruby meeting her auntie Amy for the first time (she seems so excited!!)!

Emery doesn't seem to like hangin' out with Ruby now but some day they'll be buds!! Only 6 weeks apart.

Grandma Sue playing with the grandkids.

Great grandparents with Ruby. G & G Krebsbach and Grandma Weigel (holding Ruby).

Day at the Beach

It was a beautiful weekend so we thought Amelia deserved to be having fun by the water so we spent the day at Detroit Lakes. Beautiful beach and yummy food. We rented a pontoon (girls napped) and played on the beach. Daddy & Amelia collected sea shells while mommy & Ruby hung out in the shade!
Sand all over her face & obviously in her mouth too!

In her own little world. How cute is she??

Dad thinks this is hilarious....mom not so sure!! What if her leg comes out of her socket??

Daddy is always throwing her around one way or another! Sometims she thinks it's fun and sometimes not so fun but he does it anyway!

Having lunch @ Zorbaz on the lake! Ruby is snoozing in the background. Amelia got this shirt at a shop on the lake. I tried it on her for size & she refused to take it off so we had to buy it whether we wanted to or not!!

Ruby Irene Hawley

Ruby Irene Hawley was born on August 19, 2009 @ 6:41am. She weighed in at 8 lbs. 8 oz. (Amelia was only 6lb. 11oz.). We went to the hospital at 1:30am and luckily auntie Kas was here to stay home with Amelia. Ruby came out a redhead!!! She is such a content baby & is sleeping great! We are very blessed & loving our family of 4. Daddy is surrounded by girls and loving every minute.
First pics of Ruby & daddy. Daddy was helping Ruby get weighed & measured while mommy was resting. It was a lot of work for mommy - she was exhausted!

Proud daddy of a new baby girl!

Sweet kisses for her little sister. She was so excited to bring Ruby home! Riding in the backseat with her little sister was a very big deal. She was full of giggles.

Amelia helping mommy eat breakfast...her favorite - hashbrowns. Had to keep her sunglasses on all morning of course!

Daddy & his girls.

Our first family photo of 4!! We are so blessed. Life is good!

I was able to catch one of her first smiles (smirk)!!

Grandma Pam came to meet Ruby and spend the night with Amelia so daddy could stay with mommy in the hospital. Thanks grandma Pam!

Grandma Sue & Papa came to meet their newest granddaughter and spend time with Amelia too! Thanks for all the food...we ate well all week!

2nd day home from the hospital & the two sisters are already taking a nap together....does it get any sweeter??

This is what Ruby does if she's not eating or sleeping. She is so content & sweet! We are so lucky and so in love!!
Amelia & Oliver cleaning the house/dancing!

Auntie Ang, uncle Chad & Oliver came for the weekend to meet Ruby! Amelia had a blast with Oliver!! Thanks for coming guys!

Quite the hairline, huh?? Amelia's was like this too at first so hopefully hers will go away too! Did you notice the red hair??

Amelia is such a great big sister and loving it! She's all smiles. She can't stop kissing Ruby and giving her lots of love. We have to remind her to not squeeze so hard!

Ruby's 1st bath in the bathtub...very calm.

Amelia's last couple days before she became a big sister!!

Amelia got this Grateful dead armband from some friends of ours and she refused to take it off for 3 days straight. The first night she insisted on sleeping naked with only her armband & diaper on....so we let her of course!! We hid it after the fourth day.
Here's a close up of her Grateful Dead armband!

Say cheese!

Auntie Kas was coming so we wanted to make her cupcakes. Amelia insisted on wearing her armband and Elton John sunglasses!!

Amelia sporting her Grateful Dead armband. This was the morning after sleeping naked with armband only!

Amelia & her friend Abby had a swimming date together. Abby was born on the same day as Amelia. I'm sure people were entertained this day at the pool because Amelia was not cooperating & I was 39 weeks pregnant trying to chase after her...quite a sight I'm sure!

We had family zoo night for Amelia's daycare. It was so much fun to see her & her friends playing together in a different setting. Those teachers have a handful!!

Amelia & her best friend from daycare Karsan Jean. These two are TROUBLE together.

On our 3rd ride....she would've gone all night.

Feeding the animals with daddy...she was so excited to do it but then wouldn't even attempt it!

We were outside riding her trike when she needed to go "poopy" on the potty so we rushed in helmet & all!

Summer pics

We've had a very busy summer full of lake visits (not enough), tennis tournaments (watching daddy), redoing our basement and getting ready for our new baby. Amelia is very excited to be a big sister soon! Here are a couple pics of our 'terrible twos' cutie!!
Sippin' on my boat drink!

Captain Amelia....her eyes should probably be on the water though rather than the camera!

Ayden & I waiting patiently for a pontoon ride.

First time on the tube...not quite sure what to think. She eventually relaxed & started to doze off. That next week at daycare it was all she talked about!! She was very proud.

Hangin' out in my kayak

Going to say hi to the neighbor!

Swimming in the backyard but who needs a swimsuit when everything is better naked?!

Daddy caught a butterfly for me!

Having dinner with a butterfly! This lasted for about 3 min. and then she insisted we take it outside to fly. Cool at first but terrifying a couple minutes later!

Refused to take a nap today so ended up going in time out @ 6:00pm and was screaming but all of a sudden got very quiet so we went in and checked & she was out! She would not let go of that check blank box cuz it had horsies on it!! We woke her up right away, gave her a bath (bad idea) and she was out again by about 7:30 until 8:30 the next morning.

Spending one on one time with mommy before baby comes (any day now)!

Trying to stay in shape like daddy...I'm not sure whose push ups are better??

Such a muli-tasker! We're so proud. She's been going poopy on the potty since beginning of June with a couple bad days of course.
